My doctor found a lump in my breast last Thursday after I experienced itching/prickling in my nipple. She referred me with the 2 week wait and by Saturday I had letter through the post. My appt is Sat 17th and I think this is pretty quick considering some stories I have heard here. I know it's a worrying time so you could maybe ring the breast clinic at your hospital if getting no joy at your doctors as you should have heard by now. Another option is getting the checks done privately as you can often get seem in a day or 2 but prices are approx £1,000.

Thanks for replying. That's great news you have an appt through pretty quick.

I managed to get hold of my GP this afternoon who in turn gave me a number for our local hospital... who's line was just ringing out :( However came home from work tonight to a letter with an appt... 13th May!! Feels like such a long wait!
