Hi all,
For a couple of weeks now I've noticed what looks like a shadow or bruising above the areola on my right breast .... I self examine regularly and haven't felt any lumps but decided to take a couple of pictures one of which was in the mirror....It was only when looking closely at the pictures I also noticed that an area of the areola looked raised and a bit misshapen compared to the left breast. I went to the GP who said she couldn't feel any lumps however there was definite thickening in that area and she has done an urgent referral to the breast clinic stating 2ww- Breast Service- 4A,4B,4C,4D-CANCER suspected...As you can imagine worried doesn't even come close to how I'm feeling atm....My appointment is for 21st April, has anyone got any advice on how to get through the next week without totally freaking out and what will most likely happen at the appointment...Talking about it to other members of the family or friends is difficult as my husband and I have decided not to tell our grown up children about the appointment until we know the outcome of the appointment.. Thanks
