I have felt unwell and generally not myself for a number of weeks now; I feel like a different person. I am 21 and live at home with my parents. I had 999 rang on me on Easter weekend as I collapsed with my legs feeling very heavy, pins and needles and palpitations, and my eyes flashing. I was back in hospital this weekend with the same problems, and they thought it would be linked to my heart as this was causing problems before but all tests came back clear - bloods, ECG etc. Prior to this, for the past 2 weeks I've had trouble swallowing, extreme fatigue, constant light headedness like I have never known before - I can't even get through 1 hour of work without becoming exhausted, or stand in the shower without nearly fainting. The only time I am ok is when I am in bed. I can't make it past 7pm anymore. At the hospital upon discharge, I asked the doctor if I should be worried about it being a neurological problem instead, due to the pins and needles, exhaustion, ringing in ears, flashing lights in eyes and my vision generally declining. She said she didn't see the need for further tests as bloods were all normal and didn't believe that they were linked.
I have booked an eye test for tomorrow, an enhanced one that takes the detailed pictures. Do you think this would show signs of a brain tumour affecting my vision? I am desperate for answers as I have never felt so unwell - I am normally social. moving around, always working. I am convinced something is wrong but I am just not getting answers :( Does anyone have any experience with booking a CT/MRI scan privately and would anyone recommend this as I am terrified to wait any longer for further referrals especially since this was linked to heart/chest problems I think the doctors will just fob me off and say I am worrying about nothing.
