i had half my thyroid removed, because the biopsy couldn't give a clear enough results  I waited two weeks after my op to get my results,  all clear , the op itself wasn't too bad , try not to worry , I know it's easier said than done. Stay positive and let me know how you get on , I will be thinking about you tomorrow

Hey Dogmum,

I had my diagnosis yesterday - papillary thyroid cancer which has spread to my lymph nodes. So I'll have an op in a few weeks and Radioactive Iodine Treatment after that. I feel really peaceful, I was expecting it so it's good just to know and to be able to move forward. Also my cancer nurse is a lady from my church which is just a lovely coincidence!
