Pet vs bronchoscopy

Evening all

1st post.

My dad was diagnosed with pneumonia 6 weeks ago came home with suspected mass on one lung.

Bronchoscopy has shown cancer cells but pet scan said all clear.....

Is this common? We're all a bit confused.

Hoping your dad is ok
I'd be interested to know the outcome of this.....I have just been diagnosed with cancer this week from a bronchoscopy so wondering how your experience went.
