Small nodes (<1cm) lymphoma??

I'll try to keep this long story short.

I have suffered with fatigue since summer last year, to the point I could sometimes feel like collapsing. Gp's put this down to anxiety? ‍♀️

October 2020 I accidentally found a swollen node in my neck, a very small pea sized. I assumed I have a viral infection etc so I left it a few weeks until I went to the GP. They arranged blood tests and an ultrasound. Both came back clear, they said lymph node only measured 5mm so it was no concern.

since then I have had a whole range of symptoms but the worst being the extreme fatigue (multiple naps per day, struggling through work - I'm a nurse), drenching night sweats (not every night but most), vaginal bleeding, pain on bowel movements and a feeling as though my collarbone is swollen (more discomfort than pain).

My GP had ran out of ideas so made a referral to infectious diseases. They said I have a small node on my collarbone, and the node in my neck is just below 1cm now. I'm awaiting a CT of my chest end of the month and gynae want a MRI of pelvis.

They said the symptoms I have are very much similar to lymphoma - however my bloods (I've had a lot) have come back not concerning and my nodes are smaller than 1cm?

has anyone had lymphoma diagnosed with smaller nodes than 1cm?

  • Hello Lauraj67 and welcome to Cancer Chat!

Poor you those sound like debilitating symptoms and being a nurse you must be incredibly busy so you probably feel really exhausted all the time. I hope that the CT of your chest at the end of the month and the MRI of your pelvis will shed some light on what is causing all these symptoms. It's reassuring news though that your bloods have come back fine.

Hopefully you will hear from some of our members who have had similar issues with nodes smaller than 1cm.

Keeping everything crossed for you and I hope you find out very soon what is causing all this.

    Best wishes,
