please help night sweats and itching

Hello!

I wonder if anyone can help me as im really confused.  I have had night sweats where i have to change my top because it is damp and sometimes trousers for the last 2 months - i would say at least 4 days out of a week. I have never had this before and am not a sweaty hot person -i feel the cold.

I also have had the last week or so itchy legs feet and arms at night

and feel like i cant shift this sore throat which seems to come back every few weeks along with blocked nose feeling a bit rubbish.

I have had blood tests which show ESR and CRP are normal and low. Everything else like FBC kidney liver etc all normal so much so the doctor said he could "frame them"

i dont have any lumps and have been checking...

could this still be lymphoma? the go has said to wait and see for another week but im very worried and wondering what i should be asking for to happen next? what else should i be asking them to check?

thanks in advance for your help x

  • Hey, I read your post and I get it. A few months ago I had the same issue: nightsweats all the time. I even had the issue years ago. What it ended up being is what I was sleeping in. What are the materials you're sleeping in? Are they polyester or cotton? Also, with my last time of nightsweats, What it ended up being was the memory foam mattress. While they are comfortable, they retain a LOT of heat. I seriously thought I had obtained an illness because of this. I was literally waking up every 2 hours drecnhed in sweat and having to wipe myself off and by the next morning, all the clothes were STILL DAMP.

What ended up working for me was to put a towel down in-between myself and the mattress and also to make sure the covers are cotton/natural material.

But yeah, if it weren't for the Internet, I would've gone months with waking up in horrible nightsweats. And of course, Dr. Google will tell you you have cancer from every little symptom.

So if I were you, I would definitely check the materials of EVERYTHING you are sleeping in/on. Also, another culprit (my girlfriend always knows best LOL) was how hot the room actually is and to sleep with the window open. This was something I never paid attention to. When I was younger, I could sleep anywhere and eat anything but not anymore. My gf is a little older than me with a lot more life experience so she knows how to spot what I'm doing wrong in a second (and I'll still fight for my opinion which will always be wrong lol)

  • thanks so much for taking the time to reply i hadnt thought of that and will definitely try sleeping in cotton/window open and see if it helps!
