I'm sorry to hear that you've recently noticed some breast changes. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious about things. 

I'm really pleased that you were brave enough to contact your GP. It can be a scary prospect making that call when you're feeling so anxious about what may be going on so well done for being brave enough to pick up the phone. 

It's not uncommon for GP's to wait a few weeks to see if breast changes remain, particularly in younger women as so many breast changes, including lumps, can be related to hormones. Understandably this doesn't stop you from still feeling worried though. 

It can help to talk things through at times like this and I wonder if you'd find it helpful to have a chat with one of our team of nurses. I'm sure they will be able to give you some advice and support to help you through the next couple of weeks. If you'd like to talk to them they're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040. 

In the meantime, keep in mind that even if the GP decides to refer you to breast clinic, the majority of women who attend are not diagnosed with cancer. Try to stay positive and avoid searching Google for answers as this will lead to you feeling more worried.
