Feeling like I’m falling to bits !

Hi All,

Over a year ago just before the pandemic I started with some chest pain, I got sent to A&E in an ambulance however after 3 hours nothing was done and no helpful advice due my my age.  A year later the pains still occur almost daily.

back in October I finally got some help for the abdominal pains I were having, I was diagnosed with IBS after an ultrasound and blood test, my GP also told me she found benign lesions in my liver (hemangiomas) recently found out the largest was 10mm.

amongst the chest pain I have groin pain ,swelling and armpit pain and swelling, found d a lump in my breast, I have migraines daily and just generally feel very under the weather.

I had a chest X-ray for the pains last week and some bloods taken yesterday which was traumatic due to a collapsed vein ! I'm not having much luck and I'm now just waiting for my results.

fingers crossed I can find out what's happening soon, any advice or similar stories would be great.

thanks

  • Hello Mia,

I just wanted to welcome you to our forum. I hope you won't have to wait too long for your  results. I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you while waiting for these important results.

I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious. There are some helpful tips on this page on how to cope while waiting for results.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Best wishes,
