7 Lumps found and no answers!!

Hi, i found my first lump in my neck Nov/Dec time last year, since then i now have 5 in my neck, 1 in my collar and 1 in my armpit, I am tired and exhausted all the time, I have night sweats, some weeks I feel so nauseous.  i have been refused a referral twice. and i am currently waiting for the 3rd referral to hopefully be accepted.

My first ultra sound scan in January found 2 lumps however I found this out around 6 weeks after the scan as no one was getting in touch with me.

I’ve had a breast clinic appointment as there was a possible lump in my breast which came back fine but they found 1 in my arm pit and collar.

I then had another ultrasound scan of my neck to which there are now 5 lumps.

When my referrals are getting rejected, I was asked to take a HIV test which I did however that was a couple of weeks ago and still no contact from anyone until today when I called up. I was told the result was ‘fine’ meaning negative.

I am out of my mind with worry and stress, no one from the doctors etc is contacting me, no one gets in touch regarding scans results, bloods or any tests. I just do not know what to do, I feel like I am being fobbed off, no one is listening and I am just being refused any referrals.

  • Hello JessBack,

I can understand why you are feeling worried after finding 7 lumps and still being left without answers. I do hope that this third referral will be accepted and that you can get some clarity as to what is going on. It must be so frustrating too not to be getting the scan results quickly and having had to chase these in the past. It's good news though that your HIV test result was negative.

Perhaps you could try to get in touch with your doctor and explain that you are feeling extremely worried as no one is getting in touch with you regarding  your scan results and you could ask whether they could look things up for you on their system and see whether any results have now come through. It must be so frustrating for you to be having to do all this chasing and it certainly is exhausting too. I do hope you get somewhere with this soon and that you also hear some news about this third referral.

Hopefully you will hear from others on the forum who have had this happen to them before too and they will be happy to share their story with you.

    Everything crossed for you!

    Best wishes,

  • Hi Lucie,

thanks for the message. I called up to make my referral appointment to be told yet again for the 3rd time it has been sent back to the doctors, insufficient information and they wanted further information.

The doctors haven't contacted me, I have tried calling to be told I can make an appointment to speak to them for in 2/3 weeks time.

Yet again I am just being refused and passed around.

im thinking I may have to look into going private and paying to be seen. which I shouldn't have to, I shouldn't be having to do alL of this just for someone to see me.

the stress is just consuming me at the minute.

i have no idea what to do.
