Hey I'm 28 years old and NEVER as far as I can think back suffered with problems in my throat. Since Mother's Day (3 and a bit weeks ago) I have suffered throat sore and feeling unwel given 2 lots of antibiotics over 2 weeks and nothing has helped. I have pain in my neck and also pain in my throat . My left tonsil is swollen, I attended the emergency department 2 days ago as struggling to cope with pain any longer, I had bloods done hoping it would show abscess however they came back CLEAR the dr told me that I had no infection?! So why is my tonsil swollen and I in so much pain in my mouth. My tounge feels vile to like a big ball of fluff. I am on a urgent referral to see e n t on Thursday my anxiety is through the roof the amount of times the doctor mentioned Cancer to me is unbelievable I have 2 children and I'm so upset. Can anyone please help with advice or if they have been in similar situation. Please xx
