I am so sorry to hear about your lump. Although pain doesn't normally accompany breast cancer, there are no hard and fast rules. You certainly won't be wasting anyone's time, as all new lumps are potentially serious and should be investigated.

Please phone your GP on Tuesday and ask for an appointment. You may only get a telephone consultation at first, but your GP can still see you if it is deemed necessary.

So sorry to hear the discomfort your in. Pleased you have seen gp and have a referral to the clinic.

I'm very similar and have an appointment next Monday. I've been having breast pain  on one side and recently found a very small lump (pea size) 

I'm hopeful it's changes as I'm in early 40s...fingers crossed
