Noticed some changes to skin on my breasts

Hi ! I'm a female 19, and as much as I hate to say it very overweight. I'm about 5'5 and like... 14 and half stone I think? Not sure if this is nesscary but there you go.

Now I'm not sure when I noticed this but I have a couple small - we're talking millimeteres - red /purply spots. I have 2 on either side. That I can see.

2 days ago I noticed some random discsoloration on my left side, it loos like tea stain splatters across the side of my left breast, with a bigger larger mark that was the colour of mud on my aerola. They havent seemed to worsen but they havent gone either.

I've just had a bath and am no onsessing over everything I can see. Wondering if its normal, or has always been there - and if I've just not noticed.

Does anyone have advice? I'm currently in between homes right now, and a full time student. Plus my docotrs are terrible, I have had so many issues with them before haha. Oh and I have major anxiety, so if possible wouldn't like to go.

Thanks.

  • Welcome to the forum MuchoGracias although I'm sorry for the reason you're joining us.

It's always a tad scary when noticing unexplained symptoms but if they're worrying you it would be best to book in with your GP as they will be able to have a look and let you know if they're any cause for concern.

I know having previous issues with your doctors can be off-putting but they are the only ones who can give you the answers and reassurance you're seeking at this time so do try to get an appointment and hopefully these tips we have on our website will help you feel more confident when you next speak with them.

  • Thank you Steph, I read through the article and bit the bullet, arranged a phone appointment for friday !

I must say I have been obsessing, noticing things I haven't before. And am in the stage if questioning if they were always there just unnoticeable or newly developed. I always thought I new my body well, but guess theres no such thing as knwoing it too much.

    Anyway thanks again.
