Just thought I would post for anyone who is worried about a raised ca125 level, my mum had her results back today and she doesn't have cancer just very large fibroids!! So anybody who's blood results comes up very high...don't worry as it doesn't always mean cancer. My mums was 1700! Over the moon!
Thank you for posting this update. I have ca125 level of 300 and a cyst measuring 12cmx10cm and very worried it is cancer. Waiting for gynaecology apt to see what consultant says about next steps. It's great when people post good news am really happy for you and your mum as it's such a worry. All the best x
really sorry to disturb you just very worried and yours is the only post i can find with a very high ca125 result. Ive had an ultrasound transvaginal scan and a MRI my results came back i had what they thought is a bengin cyst and advised me i would be on a 18 week referral. I suffer with anxiety so kept calling for cancelation manager to get one 6 weeks later they started with my bloods which have come back over 400! I was in shock theyve told me this could be due to inflamation or other bengin diseases. My case is now been discussed at a MDT meeting and they will get back to me next week. I am so happy i pursued this but bery confused as my gp assured me it wasnt cancer as the mri showed no signs of cancer and no damaged organs the cyst was sitting on my left ovary. I feel like ive been told different information and a high blood count means i will have cancer. Please can you tell me what they did next for your mum after getting that high result ? I would be very very grateful if you reply ad im only 39 and have a 10 year old child im a single mum and have gone into complete panic mode. You dont see many storys of people having super high blood results and what the outcome is except yours Thankyou
sorry to bother you im just wondering what happened after your high blood result mines as high as yours and im very worried i do have a bengin cyst they think as my mri shown no signs of cancer but my blood test came back very high so now waiting on plan going forward at MdT meeting which is very scary x any advise grateful x thankyou in advance
I just wanted to stop by Sarahar as I noticed you were hoping to hear back from Rolosma and Hannahwx1. Unfortunately this thread hasn't been active in almost a year so you may not get a reply.
I really hope they will return to share their experiences and advice but if you'd like to improve your chances of getting replies from members in similar situations it may be worth starting your own discussion.
