hi everyone, 

I thought I would just post on here as I'm having a hard time at the moment and going out if my mind so would just like to speak to people who could maybe give me some insight.

My mum was due to have a full hysterectomy earlier this year due to extremely large fibroids growing on the outside of the uterus ( ca125 levels where at 175) but her surgery was postponed due to Covid.

she did have an MRI in September on her pelvis which showed her ovaries where clear so the raised ca125 was obviously due to the fibroids.

recently her symptoms have become a lot worse so she decided to go private to see if she could get her op sooner. Since September she has now got more smaller fibroids and the ones that where already there have become larger! Her gyn said they where extremely large (not sure how big she is talking but I'm guessing very big) and another ca125 test was done resulting in the levels being 1700!

during the test it was her time of the month and I've read that levels can be raised due to menstruation.

I'm very worried about the level as now it's seems to be extremely high since 6 months ago which was already raised! 
could this be due to the fact that her fibroids are very big and getting bigger doubled with the fact it was her time of the month during the test? 
 

1700 is very high! I'm just so worried she has OC but as she had the MRI in September and it was clear I'm hoping it's the fibroids! has anyone known of anybody having this sort of level with servere fibroids?
