I don't have any help or advice unfortunately, just wanted to send you some good vibes from someone in the same situation. I had my biopsy on Wednesday and waiting for appointment now. I'm hoping since they can do telephone appointments that is reducing wait times, maybe COVID working in your favour?

 
It really helped me reading your post, I'm going out of my mind with worry but keep thinking I'm just being silly as nothing has really happened yet.

The waiting is always the hardest part of this 'journey', you just have to find a way that gets you through the days. Distraction of some type helps - keeping busy, doing the things you enjoy, or trying something new that will take your mind away from it for a while. 

With regards to the appointment - they have given you that date to give your results time to get back & for the Multi Disciplinary Team to discuss them. This happens in all cases (good or bad) and the team consists of the dermatologist, plastic surgeon, oncologist & the nurses. If your results are back much sooner you may get a letter arranging an earlier telephone appointment or a face to face appointment. Don't panic if it's face to face, it doesn't necessarily mean bad news - sometimes it is so that they can check your surgery site & your other moles (especially if the mole comes back as dysplastic - benign but pre-cancerous). I've had 7 moles/lesions removed over the years and only one was melanoma so the odds are in your favour for a clear result.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and you're own experience. I will concentrate on keeping busy not too long now and as you say may even be sooner depending on the process their end.

I hope you're keeping well!

id called the hospital during the week as my anxiety was out of control with it getting closer to my apt silly I know but I had constant anxiety shakes and sleepless nights they are of course a very busy department so only just returned my call today which of course I told them not to worry as my apt is tomorrow afternoon the lady then asked if I wanted to come in instead as they can see me face to face if I prefer or I can leave it as phone if I prefer.

and again I know I'm being silly but this has now made me worry even more and think all sorts. Annoying myself as I'm trying so hard to stay positive but I'm failing miserably.
