Headaches, dent in back of head, numbness in hands and feet

Hi all,

Had some strange symptoms the last 9 months they came on quite suddenly to begin with. I had a week or so of headaches, feeling dizzy with strange vision changes and feeling a bit nauseous.

That was 9 months ago, and ever since then, my strange headaches have remained, where my temples feel numb and the headache tends to be at the back of my head. I did find a slight indentation at the back where my headaches are that I don't believe has been there my whole life, and I haven't had a hit to the head to cause it. Alongside the headaches I get pain behind the eyes, numb hands and feet (not just to one side) and both ears are constantly popping.

Still getting some odd vision issues, not double or blurred vision but almost like the slight struggle to focus on something. I wouldn't say any symptoms have worsened over the months, simply stayed the same. I have had visions tests, GP appointments where the docs said they didn't see any signs of concern, multiple blood tests that all came up clear and my referral to a neurologist next week that I had to fight for to get.

is anyone else going through the same sort of thing I am?

  • Hello tslk95,

I just wanted to welcome you to our forum and wish you the best of luck for your neurologist appointment next week. It's good you managed to get this appointment as the neurologist will be able to look into all this closely and tell you more as to what it might be. It's good that the blood tests came back clear and I hope that you get some answers very soon as to what may be causing these debilitating symptoms.

I hope that you will also hear from some of our forum members who have experienced similar symptoms and that they will be along shortly to share their story with you.

Everything crossed for you for your neurologist appointment next week!

    Best wishes,

  • Hi hope you are feeling better and got some answers I'm having similar symptoms did you ever get to the bottom of why they was occurring?

  • Hey I'm 17(f) and have been having these exact symptoms along with neausa dizziness and episodes of confusion and like I can't describe it as any other way that full body tingles I have tried time and time again to go to the doctors and they've done blood tests everything I even showed them the dents in my scalp that are incredibly sore and uncomfortable to touch I was just wondering if there was any answer as to what was wrong with you? I understand not everyone is gonna be the same just cus they got the same symptoms but ive done loads of research and looked into loads of stuff which I have all brought up to my GP to no progress (assumably because of my age and gender they seemingly just don't take me seriously) but it's increasingly getting worse and the most recent appointment I've been too the doctor has literally just prescribed me paracetamol which is Incredibly frustrating because I don't want to manage the pain I want to find the source of it and it's like im almost being brushed off as overdramatic at this point I've been to the doctors more in the past month (after putting it off for about 4 months because I hate these sort of experiences with doctors and tend to get shut down because if my mental health issues they don't take me seriously) that I have been in the past 3 years combined which is horrific like I DONT go to the doctors unless absolutely necessary and I've said to them time and time again I just want someone to listen to me and take me seriously and they just brush me off, like it's not my life, which has barely begun, on the line here not just their paycheck

  • Hi

ever thought of consulting a chiropractor to see what might that be? Sometimes our spine, joints are coming out of their natural alignment and can cause this sort of symptoms... just wondering...if all your blood tests come out good.
    Hope this helps

    Good luck
