I had an MRI just over 2 weeks ago to take a further look at an indeterminate lesion discovered by CT on my spleen. Afterwards the radiologist said results only take a few days. I rang after a week and they had been written up by radiologist and I presume gone to consultant. How long have people waited? I'm getting more nervous by the day. Thanks
You did well to ring after a week to chase these results and it sounds like it shouldn't be too long now before you hear back as they have been written up by the radiologist. Perhaps you could try and ring your GP and see whether they have been logged on the system and whether they have gone to the consultant and you could ask how you will find out more about these.
It seems as mentioned on this page about the MRI on our website that MRI results tend to take between 1 and 2 weeks so you did well to ring them after a couple of weeks.
I hope you will hear from other members of the forum who have been in a similar position and that they will tell you more about how long they themselves had to wait.

I rang the consultants secretary and she told me that he's down to look at my results on Tuesday but he's running behind.
I know its only been a month, I sound so impatient and I know there are thousands of people in the same position. If I hadn't been told it would only take a few days for the results I probably wouldn't have been in a constant state of anxiety for the past 3 weeks looking out for the post every morning!
Anyway I'll see what the next couple of weeks brings.
