Today I had 6 biopsies in the same boom from 2 lumps.
Well the ultrasound lady found 1 lump and asked for a consultant to confirm which she did. She then went away while I waited in the waiting room for core biopsies. When I went in the have them 3 samples were taken and I was told I would hear about an appointment for results. As I had one foot out of the door I was called back. Turns out the lump they took samples from was not the original one seen in the ultrasound but a new one the consultant found herself. So I was straight back in to have biopsies of that one. She noticed from photos that the sizes were different.
My question is...after the first biopsies I was waved off with smiles. After the second ones a marker was placed "incase the surgeon need it". Why would one need a marker but not the other. It was the same consultant and nurse both times and its making me overthink. Did that happen to anyone else?
Thanks in advance x
