Hi,

Generally results do come to the GP and even if nothing is wrong you have to get a call back it go in because they need to talk about your results. 

how long did it take for you to get an ultrasound appointment? And how long did it take for the results to come in for tomorrow? 
 

im in a similar situation but I'm not preganant and have had this swollen lymph node in my armpit for over 2 months now and it's not leaving and I really want an ultrasound.

Thanks for replying Mellisa. I've filled in an econsultant and asked if they can ring me today with the results. My anxiety can't cope until tomorrow. 
have you been to the GP about your lymph node? I was told to contact them after a few weeks of it hadn't gone back down. 

Yeah I have been to my GP. 
basically my lymph node started over a pea sized on my armpit was a little tender but after a week the pain went away but it was still pea sized. I went to the GP and they said that they aren't worried but keep an eye on it. Then about a month later I feel like overnight it grew so so big like the size of 2 grapes combined but only 1 lymph node and so painful I couldn't move my arms. The GP gave me antibiotics which helped with the pain and tenderness and SOME of the swelling but it's been around 4 weeks and there's still a swollen lymph node and it's still like 3-4cm which is quite big and I legit can't eat or drink because of my anxiety. I really want to be referred to an ultrasound tomorrow.

Hi mellisa, I have heard that infected lymph nodes do take a while to go down but I would definitely try and push for an ultrasound just to settle your anxiety. I have been the same as you and sick with worry.
I have heard from the gp with my results today and the ultrasound was fine, they do not feel it is anything sinister. They advised me to keep an eye on it and not to worry said to go back in 3-6 months if it's still there or it gets any bigger. I asked if I needed a biopsy, I have been doing nothing but google everything related to lumps under armpits, the GP said it looked clear and I didn't need one. I hope you get some answers at your appointment.
