Very scared

I'm not even shore if this is the right forum to be on or not iv not be diagnosed with cancer but I have symptoms and I'm scared I have womb or cervical cancer, my periods have been a bit of for a couple of months now , but this month has been the worst firstly iv not had a proper period since Feb 4 , I have been spotting now for just over a week on and off and I'm scared I , I went to see my gp last Wednesday and she had a look at my cervics and gave me a internal exam and say she couldn't see anything that worried her but she would send me for a smear and a ultrasound to be sure , and now I'm terrified I have cancer , I googled my symptoms which I know is the wrong thing to do and it's just made me worse plz any help would be appreciated.

Anyone is welcome here it's good that you've came to a place where you can discuss your worries with other people as it can help relieve the stress. The fact that your GP could not see anything is a good sign and that she's sending you for a test anyway is good for your piece of mind so you know that nothing will be missed. Dr Google isn't the best idea as it will always lead you to the worst possibility first try to stay away from googling your symptoms and just get in contact with the GP if you have any changes in health that are worrying you. Just make sure you keep a note of your symptoms too to see if there are any changes or just to make sure you remember to tell your GP about them. Hopefully all goes well with the tests and it's nothing to worry about. Try and take your mind off it for now and focus on doing stuff you love and enjoy to help relax.
