Hi, i probably can't answer what you are asking but I have had a similar experience last week. I was called to bc had examination and the consultant def said the word benign after examination. Next thing he sent me to get a mammogram. Before I knew it I had been gave an ultrasound and biopsy. This all happened so quickly within hours. I then got sent back to the man who done my examination and he said I had a cancer. I am so confused. Now I have an appointment this week and the letter which was sent explains nothing. Its a worrying time but I hope you end up OK. 

Thank you for your reply. The lady that examined me defo said the words benign to me to.from the second she looked. That sounds like a really scary experience.  I came away today overjoyed but the more it sank in the more its been niggling away at me. I didn't have any of the other scans other than  the ultra sound  which I thought may be a good thing but I have no clue. I guess its just playing the waiting game until they call me. Was your diagnosis the same day? That sounds very quick. I wish you all the best too x

Yes I was told cancer after all 3 tests on the same day. However I am confused why this was said as they wouldn't have had the biopsy results at that point. I didn't think they could 100% diagnosis without a biopsy result but I may be wrong. Once he said cancer to me my head was all over the place and I never asked any questions at all. I just left the hospital. I haven't spoke to anyone since. Hopefully you get your biopsy results back soon and have great results. I get mine this week at the hospital and I have no idea what happens next. Good luck and I wish you the best of luck x

I wish you all the best with your upcoming results. Its such a difficult time especially with the pandemic. If you have any further appointments take a trusted friend or family member with you so you can discuss your questions and have them ask if you don't. I really wished I'd taken my partner in with me as I probably would have had clearer info. This forum is a great place to speak about it and so happy I found it. It is possible that it is fibrosis.  I went to the breast clinic with a lump and they found another area of concern.  They took biopsies from both areas and the one area turned out to be fibrosis but I did have to wait for my biopsy results for that to be confirmed.

Hope you get good news the waiting is hard.
