Feeling

Feeling tearful today. I stil have not told my husband about finding a lump in my breast and seeing gp last week. Letter came yesterday to make an urgent appointment I have done that. Not sure what to say to him or my children as wee we have lost members of our family to cancer I don't want to worry them unless I get bad news

  • Hello Topham01

I couldn't read and not reply to send you a big virtual hug this morning. It sounds like you could do with a real one too and I'm sure that your husband would be quick to do that if he knew what you were worrying about.

I know that it can be really difficult to tell loved ones about what's going on when you're in a situation like this and it's natural to feel scared and emotional. I wonder if you could make a cuppa for you both now this morning and broach the subject with him. I'm sure that you will feel better for sharing with him.

Whether you choose to tell your children at the moment depends on lots of things really but I'd say that it's important to remember that the majority of people seen at breast clinic do not go on to be diagnosed with cancer. So try to stay positive.

One of us moderators will be about all day so pop back later and let us know how it goes.

    Best wishes,
