Dermatologist

Hi there,

ive been waiting for a dermatology referral appointment  as I have this pink lump on my arm and it's been around 9 weeks since it was send through. My lump is getting bigger sorer and it's different in appearance pretty much everyday, I'm quite worried since I have been to the doctors before to have it freeze removed and it's grown back double the size and I'm really lost for what to do now as it's been a while and I've worked up such an anxiety about it all and just want to be seen as soon as possible, is there anything else I can do to chase it up because I'm really worried and don't know where else to turn to for help.

    Hi Georgia,

    I suggest you contact your GP and explain it's grown much bigger whilst waiting for the appointment and that it's causing you more worry now. Ask if they can chase up your referral to get an earlier appointment. Failing that, ring the dermatology dept and ask how long you may be waiting. Tell them you are happy to accept a last minute cancellation if one comes through (if you are able to do so). I hope you aren't waiting too much longer,
