dr found two new lumps today

Hi Everyone, 

 

Im sorry to say i am back again! 

I suffer from a condition called hidreniditis suppertiva, short explanation i get recurrent abcesses/boils in groin, under arm and started with these on underside of right breast some yrs ago. To cut a long story short i have an abcess in my breast again had one dec 20 and now another close by. It has been a real fight to get my GP to actually see me ( covid ect) they would only do a telephone appt. Anyway today i was on the phone again as the antibiotics were not doing any good, and i insisted i was seen in person. 

Fastforward to this afternoon where the Dr i saw was really lovely and did a full breast exam, she found 2 lumps not near the abcess and unrelated she said. I was urgently reffered last jan to breast clinic for what truned out to be a fibroadenoma, only mammogram and ultrasound was done no biopsy.  Same breast but these two new ones are not where the other one is. 

Needless to say im now really scared, im wondering did they miss something last time? are they new ones after last visit,.

I have onlt just got over an 8 month nighmare when an adenoma was discovered on my adrenal gland ( benign thankfullly) its just been one thing after another. 

I guess what i want to know if possible has anyone had this same situation and looking for support.

    I'm sorry to hear about your ongoing health problems. It's good that you managed to get an appointment with the GP and it's certainly the right thing to be referred to the hospital to get these new lumps checked. 

    I know that many of our members here will understand how difficult this period of waiting can be and it's natural to feel anxious, especially when you've recently had to deal with other health concerns. Try and remember that the majority of people referred to breast clinic are not diagnosed with cancer. 

    Sometimes it can help to talk things through and I wonder if chatting to one of our nurses might be beneficial for you. If you would like to speak to them, they're available Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

    Thank you jen, i now have my appointment date of 12th april seems a million miles away but im sure it will pass quickly, i will take your advice and call one of the nurses if things get a little too much though thank you so much xx
