Bowel Cancer?

Hi all,

I have been having bleeding from my back passage for 12 months only when on my period and for 2 days most.

Dr'a told me not to worry, it would be linked to periods. However now it has started outside of my periods.

Been to doctors and a&e this week both checked stomach, and rectal finger exam nothing there. I am awaiting to do a stool sample, but today I noticed my poo had changed more into pellets and was also covered in a mucus.

I am petrified, I am 36 has anyone had a similar situation at all?

    I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with some ongoing health issues. It's understandable that you're feeling worried about things. 

    It's good to hear that the examinations you've had this week didn't raise any immediate concerns and that you are now waiting on a test result. Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long for this. 

    Do keep in touch with your GP and let them know about any changes that you experience. I do hope that they are able to get to the cause of this issue quickly and that things improve for you.

    Thank you Jenn.

     

    I have received the FIT test in the post, so got to complete to send off.

     

    then have blood tests booked for a weeks time and another stool sample to hand to the GP tomorrow.

    i think receiving the FIT test has made my fears more real, and today I just feel like staying in bed.
