Spasms after stoma reversal

I had a successful stoma reversal 4 years ago.

In past year I have experienced spasms in the right side of my stomach just where the stoma was.

Spasms only last 15-20 seconds. Not painful, but I think each time they will lead to something bad....but they dont ! They happen about twice a month, sometimes linked to my leaning over eg to tie shoe laces.

Any suggestions what is the cause?

Peter

  • Hello Peter,

A warm welcome to Cancer Chat! I think it would be a good idea to bring this up with your GP. Even though these are not painful and don't seem to last very long, it's always best to get things like this looked at even if just for reassurance. Your doctor will be in the best position to tell you more about what these might be and whether they are linked to the stoma reversal.

I hope you will hear from others too who have also had this before and that they will share their experience with you.

    Best wishes,
