Hi beautiful ladies, I hope you are all okay
I was lifting weights about 4 years ago and really injured my breast and it swelled up a lot. I took tablets the doctor prescribed for a week and the swelling went down but I noticed a little lump. I assumed I was being dramatic and paranoid but it soon came clear there was something there.
For a long time I have assumed that it was scar tissue from when I injured my breast or that I'm just being paranoid over nothing (the lump in my breast is hard to find).
I finally plucked up the courage to ring my doctor and I explained to her what I have just explained above and she said that it sounds like scar tissue and it doesn't sound like I should be worried. She said she could still book me in and see me just to make sure so I said yes. I got to my doctor and she said that there is a 1.5 cm lump in my right breast and that it doesn't feel like scar tissue. She said that the lump was most likely in my breast before I injured it, and it was the injury that has made me aware of the lump.
She booked me in to the breast clinic, I have my appointment on the 30th of March (8 days) and I'm so scared. I have no one to come to the appointment with me and I'm very nervous. I feel so stupid for being too scared to get myself checked sooner.
I have been reading this forum and reading other girls symptoms and it has been comforting to read that other girls have had the same symptoms as me. So here are mine for any who are interested: Small lump that I (and my doctor) struggle to find. My Doctor said that the lump is easily movable. Sometimes it feels tender and a dull aching pain (never painfull) and it seems to be more tender when I'm due to have my period. There's no dimpling, no redness and no discharge from my nipple.
Wish me luck girls
