Testicle Biopsy

Hello everyone!

About two or three weeks ago my boyfriend found a lump on his right testicle. He went to his GP the next morning and he was referred for an ultrasound. Whilst doing the ultrasound the guy kept asking my boyfriend questions about why he was here if he didn't have any sort of pain or swelling. He definitely made it sound like there was nothing there. The ultrasound was on a Friday night and we got a phone call Monday morning, like, first thing, from his GP. His GP said the results were inconclusive and he was being sent for a biopsy and CT scan next week. It's been a very tense time waiting for this and we're both extremely worried but definitely putting a brave face on.

In the middle of the week, we spoke to his GP because my boyfriend's right testicle looked like it might be swelling. His GP rang him back immediately to chat. She said it was likely his head working overtime because he knows there's a problem there. She said to go to A&E if the swelling gets enormous or he gets any severe pain.

And that's pretty much where we are up to in our journey.

Does anyone know what happens during a testicular biopsy? Anything we can do to prepare?

Thank you, everyone!
