Hello Ian
Unfortunately, I'm not able to help with an answer to your question. I'm unsure from your post if you're asking generally or if you're waiting for some investigations and results yourself.
If this is the case then we know that waiting can be a difficult time for many people and it's common for people to feel anxious. If you wanted to give more context to your question we could see if we're able to help with more information.
Best wishes,

Thanks for your reply Jen. I have been sent for a ct scan in the abdominal and pelvis. I got appointment in 10 days. So I guess must be part of the fast track process. I was wondering if the high percentage of these scans turn out to be abnormal. Does a doctor have to be say pretty sure there is a real chance of cancer to go down that route.
In endoscopies and colonoscopies from my jnterenet information I know that 2 % of them result in a malignant finding approximately. I wondered if anyone knew what The statistics are for CT Scans.
