I couple of weeks ago I noticed a lump on side of my neck on the right and I'm worried because its quite big and hard and it doesnt move.

I read that swollen lymph nodes are supposed to move and mine doesnt so my health anxiety is all over the place I'm starting to think its definitely cancer even though i have no other symptoms because of how big and immovable it is and that scares me 

I havent been ill recently so I don't know why its happened 

Does a lymph node that's hard and dont move automatically mean its cancer? Or could it still be nothing I got an appointment in 3 days and the wait is driving me crazy
