I am 23 and I know I am young and cancer is uncommon in younger people but I just wanted to see if anyone has been in a similar situation and can offer some advice. Basically, I have been on my period for 14 weeks and passed really large clots. Due to this bleeding the doctors reffered me for a blood test and scan, the blood test shown my iron levels are low so have iron deficiency anaemia. I have had a further blood test to look at my platelets and a blood film test, I am waiting for the results back from that and waiting for my scan too. I am very tired all the time which is probably from the anaemia but I am struggling to function and have energy to do things. The bleeding is either really heavy and then goes light for a few days but goes back to heavy, it feels like it will never stop! I also have a lump on my vulva too that has gotten bigger in the last few weeks.
