I had mine 2 days ago with throat spray but wish I'd opted for sedation I found it horrendous though the nurses were really lovely I felt like I couldn't breathe and was going into a panic attack.
Thank you for sharing your experience Samroth01. It will be useful to others who might be having a gastroscopy soon. I am sorry to hear thar the throat spray didn't help much and that it was a very difficult experience. It's great the nurses were lovely though and I hope that you've now recovered from it all.
