Hi,
I'm 34.
For about 6 months now I have been experiencing pains on my left side. They almost feel little niggly gassy pains, moving from my front around my back. Some times its felt worse than others. I have gone a few weeks at times with things being OK.
Some time ago I was diagnosed with IBS and it's always been put down to that. However in November I had concerns and had a positive FIT test. I went for a colonoscopy which came back normal as did the biopsies I had taken. I saw a consultant afterwards and he told me nothing further was required. I have since had another FIT test done which was negative.
Over recent days the pain in my lower abdomen has worsened. It seems localised to one position and if I press it its agony. It seems to be over my left ovary. I havent had any other symptoms really. No bloating, no issues eating etc. Its just this localised pain. It does also make me feel like there is something there on my left side, albeit my stomach isnt raised or bloated and I am slim so I think I would notice it. My period is due on Monday and it seems worse than ever. Mainly because I keep checking and pressing it! Over the past few months my breasts have become so very tender too.
Has anyone else experienced this? I have read so many posts and have real health anxiety. I'm so concerned as I've been in pain for a while now and Im so worried it could be sinister.
My mum had a full hysterectomy at the age of 40ish owing to large cysts on her ovaries (not cancerous).
I have been referred for an internal ultrasound. Hoping I dont have to wait too long.
Thanks in advance. I'm worrying.
