Ovarian cancer- is it possible?

Hello ladies

I am new to forum. First of all I am sorry for my english (I am not really good in writting but I will try my best).

Its all started 4 weeks ago. I started to passing urine very often. Even if I was on train I had to leave it and find any toilet around.. no pain no itching nothing. I have contacted with my GP. They gave me antibiotic and asked me to dropped urine sample.. after one week of antibiotic symptomps failed to resolve so I have contacted with them again. They gave me another antibiotic (even if they said that urine test SHOWN NO INFECTION).

Other symptoms I have: I feel bloated, my belly looks like a baloon. Abdominal pain and sometimes lower back pain.

But also since 3 days I feel HORRIBLE PAIN inside my vagina (cervix area) no itching nothing.

What do you think? I have a doctor appointment tomorrow. What should I askk him for?

One of my grandmums died for ovarian cancer. Another one for brest cancer.

  • Hi klarisa, how are you feeling ? How did your doctor's appointment go ? Ask for a blood test to look for ovarian cancer it's called  CA125. I'm going through similar to you. I am awaiting my blood results and having a ultrasound next week.

  • Hi LuLu!

Im fine but a bit nervous. How are you? My appointment is tomorrow. I hope he will send me for ultrasound. Whats your symptoms? Do you have ANY pain inside your vagina (cervix area?)

  • Hi there,

I hope you are well and feeling a little better.

I have been experiencing the exact same symptoms as you. I keep getting told it is IBS, but I have said I want an ultrasound because my symptoms are all the symptoms of Ovarian cancer. I am still waiting for this even though I have chased it up twice and really worried now. My symptoms are getting worse.

I am just wondering how you got on with your tests? If you don't mind me asking, sorry.

I really hope you are okay.

    thanks,

    Lauren

  • Hi!

I am fine thank you. But I spend a week in the hospital.  GP send me to the hospital. Then I had a CT scan and in the end they cut off my.. appendix. There was a few complications after surgery but I am at home now and everything is okay.

    How are you? Xx

  • Hi there,

thank you for getting back in touch so quickly!

I am sorry to hear you were in hospital! But I am glad that you know what was wrong and hopefully you have a speedy recovery and feel much better soon.

did they say it was appendicitis then?

this was something else I thought it could be, but my pain is all over the abdominal area not just the right side, which online it says it is usually the right side.

wishing you a speedy recovery xx

  • To be honest with you I didnt have a pain on right side.. but GP found blood in my urine so they send me to the hospital. CT scan showed calcified appendicolith within the base of the appendix so they made decision to remove it.

Ginecologist doctor has seen me in the hospital too. But she just exakinated my tummy and said there is no problem with my ovarian. Well.. we will see.

Anyway, sorry for my english. How are you? Did you arrange any appointment for yourself?

  • Well I hope they are right and that is the end of the pain for you. I am glad that they sent you to the hospital and hopefully you will be okay from here. Let me know how you get on in the future, sending you lots of positive thoughts.

I have an appointment tomorrow. But I already know they are going to dismiss my symptoms (again). Makes me angry because I know how I feel and something isn't right, I am in a lot of discomfort and pain. It is really effecting my mental health now. So hopefully get answers and an ultrasound soon.

I hope you get out of hospital soon. Take care xxx
