Lump found

Hey,

I'm new here, I have just returned from my GP as I found a lump near my areola on my right boob. The GP said she could feel a large lump that it didn't feel nasty but to be on the safe side she would do a two week referral to breast clinic. I found a lump in the same boob in 2013 had an ultrasound was told it was a cyst and nothing to worry about. Both my boobs are painful I am 40 and had a hysterectomy 12 years ago (not due to cancer) I am trying to remain calm but I am worried sick as I have 2 disabled children that need me.

  • Hello Wickerheart,

I just wanted to welcome you to our forum. I hope you won't have to wait too long to be seen at the breast clinic. I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you while waiting to find out more. It is normal to be worried as waiting is often described here as the hardest thing.

I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Best wishes,
