Ovarian Cancer

Hi

I was just wandering did anyone have a gut instinct they had Ovarian Cancer I am due an ultrasound next week has have symptoms that need checking. I have had a CA125 blood test which has come back normal.
My husband thinks I have a return of endometriosis that I had a sub total hysterectomy for a few years ago.
I just can't shake the feeling that it is Ovarian cancer would appreciate any feedback from anyone who was the same or am I just going crazy ?!
Xxx

  • I'm going through something similar. I also previously suffered from endometriosis and got the mirena coil in 2.5 years ago and have never had a problem again since. I didn't get a CA125 blood test done, my doctor has just told me they referred me to gynae and I'll get an appointment.

Hope your ultrasound goes well. Hopefully someone else will comment with more input to reassure.

    All the best x

  • Hi

    Thanks for your reply.
Sorry to hear you're having problems too.

Do you feel a bit different from when you had endometriosis?
It's just that I do so when my husband said that it's made me think although symptoms can be similar something feels different !!

  • Morning Trina just wondering how you got on?  I'm in same boat as yourself go for a CA125 test today and apt with dr next week.  I ticked 5 boxes bloating, needing loo more, awful heartburn, pelvic pain and sore back ... just feel something isn't right with my body.

Hope you got on good x

  • HI

I am in a similar situation to yourself and waiting to have a transvaginal scan after the GP referred me after a pelvic/internal examination.  I didn't have a CA125 blood test as she said that they only do that if anything is found on the scan.  Just patiently waiiting now for scan appt and feeling anxious and still having quite a few symptoms and bloated tummy. I am like yourself and can't shake the feeling it's ovarian cancer and wish I had gone to see GP sooner now.

Hope you are getting okay sending best wishes xx

  • For what it's worth, I was sure I had ovarian cancer.  Turned out to be very bad endometriosis.  The symptoms are very similar.  It came back after the first surgery, so I had a hysterectomy and no sign of it since.  Also, my CA125 was through the roof with endometriosis - if you're pre-menopausal it's not a great indicator of cancer specifically, just something going on in the area.

  • I really hope this is the same for my wife - ca125 result was 88, we are absolutely terrified
