I'm sorry to hear that you're waiting on an appointment at the breast clinic. I know that lots of our members will understand how worrying this period of uncertainty can be. It can help to try to remember that the majority of people who attend breast clinic do not go on to be diagnosed with breast cancer. 

It can also help to talk things through with someone and I wonder if you might find it useful to have a chat with one of our team of nurses. I'm sure they will be able to give you some support and reassurance ahead of your appointment. If you'd like to chat with them they're available Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

Hello, sorry for the late reply. 
I was seen last week in clinic and they confirmed it was a breast cyst. Thankfully on the day the actual lump/bruise started to bleed and they were able to drain it (too much info sorry!). I was asked to go back a week later (today) to have a possible ultrasound. Thankfully the lump has gone down but the bruise is still there. They said the bruise may well stay for a longtime if not forever because of trauma to the skin but I have been discharged on a 6 month SOS, so I can return to the hospital directly if I have any concerns in the next 6 months. 
 

I really hope whatever your concern is you get the reassurance you need. If you haven't already I would recommend seeing your GP, I am thankful I did.
