New breast lump

Hi everyone

I hope you're all keeping safe and doing ok as ok can be x

I know so many people are dealing with so much at the moment, so I apologise to have to post here.

Years ago I previously had Fibroadenoma diagnosed in my left breast. I had a new pea sized lump at the top of my breast last year which I was assured was the same. However, in the last year it has grown significantly to around 5cm from which my GP has referred me to get it checked.

I know google should be avoided during times like this as it sends our heads into overdrive. But my lump is at the top of my left breast and is visible when I stretch. After research this suggests the worst case scenario.

I know I need to wait to be seen to get an answer, but I was wondering if anyone had experienced anything similar?

Thank you for taking the time to read x

  • I'm sorry that the lump in your breast has grown Cas.

I know this must seem rather scary, especially as you don't know why it's got bigger, but you're not alone as many of our members have contended with similar issues and I'm sure you'll receive some support and advice from them soon.

Fingers crossed you're not waiting too long for your referral and the results show the changes are no cause for concern.

    All the best,
