Hi all
I'm new to the forum and this is my first post.
My GP referred me to the breast clinic the other day as an urgent referral. I saw her about an indented line in my breast which is only visible and palpable when raising my arm. It feels like a string running down my breast. I've had it for some time but never thought to have it checked as I couldn't feel a lump and didn't have any of the other typical signs.
I came across an article last week and this woman had a similar looking thing which turned out to be breast cancer so as you can imagine, it's hard to try and not let my thoughts jump to the same conclusion.
I wondered if anyone knew how long an 'urgent' referral takes in Scotland? Am I likely to receive the appointment by letter?
Thanks in advance,
K x
