Hi ,sorry to read that you have found lump and breast changes that are uncomfortable .It is understandable that you are worried.  But you have taken the first hard step to acknowledge the breast changes and go to your gp,that in itself is hard to do,it took me 2 weeks of prodding and poking my lump to actually go to my gp,I had a lot going on with family members ill health, my son was diognosed with testicular cancer, my sister was on a life support machine,my mum in hospital with strokes and falls ( all in December 2020 ) and i was the one running around for everyone, I think that had ait to do with me not goung sooner .please to say my son  is ok now all tumours shrunk he has 5cm tumour in his stomach, 3cm tumour on his chest and a spot on his lung, but sooo pleased he is just having regular bloid checks and scans once a year, has hadb2 bliid checks so far ,so good.  My sister is recovered well ,she had a neurological disorder that psrsalized her called Gilluan Barr,we had never heard of it. My mums ok  but not great she has care at home ,and my sister is well enough to go help mum once or twice a week, so glad as I can't, I've had to shied. 

It may turn out to be a cyst ,or inflammatory breast condition, or a number of things .it may not be cancer ,but if it is  or isn't  you will be well looked after.  Breast cancer is treatable, its come a long way  and if it did turn out to be cancer  like mine was,believe me if I can get through it anybody can,staff have been marvelous  and this Cancer chat  forum  to. You will always find someone on here who will reach out to you,and help.uf they can.  Good luck I  do wish you well,pleased let us know how you get on, im praying it will be good news for you ,and im always here if you need a chat .x

Hey sorry to hear you both are in this situation right now it's understandably that the unknown of what's going on in your body is terrible but just wanted to say as someone who's sat in that waiting room on a few occasions try not to over think anything, cysts which are very common and other inflammatory conditions, which also should be noted any of these lumps or bumps become more pronounced or feel like it's out of now where when your on your period, as few years back I had a scare in my other boob and was obviously unsettled and it was just a cyst that would become firm and noticeable and uncomfortable when it was my time of the month and it actually popped in my one of my examinations by my ultrasound lady! Was crazy but a good reminder not to presume the worst.. So yeh I really hope everything goes ok for you tomorrow and know you will be looked after every step of the way!!! I can't compliant the staff that worked in the my breast clinic enough! They are caring compassionate and just damn lovely people :) wishing you all the best

Hi, thanks for the reply. I am sorry to hear of your situation but glad it is on the up. I am very nervous for this morning, understandably. Trying to think positively but equally want to feel prepared for the worst! 

I'll post when it's all done this morning, I know I'll be in for quite a long morning by the sounds of it.

Thanks for your reply. I am trying to stay calm and as I said above, I want to be positive but equally want to be prepared for the worst. I just want the appointment over with now!

Hi everyone, just to update in case you're following along now or in the future. 

Everyone at the clinic was SO lovely and very reassurring. The doctor felt it was just normal hormonal changes, and an ultrasound confirmed this. Very happy and thankful! 

However, if I had been diagnosed with anything sinister, I still would have had a positive experience overall as the staff really were very nice. This appears to be the same whereever you go from what Ive read! So for anyone reading in a similar position, good luck and all the best. Xx
