1st appointment with haematology tomorrow. Feeling scared

Hi I've never posted anything on here before. In abit nervous as I've got my first haematology appointment tomorrow after seeing the doctor on monday(I don't know if it being this quick is a good or bad thing). I have  had several blood tests which have come back with my white blood cell count getting lower, night sweats and a small pea size lump behind my ear. The doctor explained that these symptoms added together was a red flag for leukaemia or lymphoma. I keep telling myself to be positive but to be honest im a little bit scared. Or Could i be worrying about nothing

  • Hi Rachyrae
I haven't got my results back yet. Thinking that might be a good thing, if it was anything serithey would of contacted me. My appointment to see consultant is on 14th April. How are you doing?

  • No news is good news so they say.. so fingers tightly crossed for you  please keep me updated though.

I'm ok thanks, well I say ok, having a bit of a low day today although don't know why

I'm just waiting to find out results of an ultrasound on my neck, I had it done on Friday, the results are back at my Drs and apparently they'll be looked at and commented on this afternoon so will find out soon hopefully.

I'm pretty sure it's all ok though as the person scanning me said my lymph nodes were superficial and reactive.. he said that because they're superficial even a small amount of swelling would be more noticeable. He also mentioned a cyst on my thyroid which as far as I know is nothing to worry about so that's good  x
