Hey everyone im after some advice

i had a small slightly raised freckle like mole on my back i woke up this morning and my back was itching i then felt that is had got alot bigger i got my other half to take a photo, its red like a spot and feels although its slightly hanging off its also quite itchy, i have never noticed it before is it possible ive caught the mole that was there or can you get an actual spot on a mole?

i know i should get it checked as soon as and i plan on calling my doctor first thing but id just like some advice and reassurance in the meantime
