Hard lymph node lump

Hi, I'm looking for any help or advice if someone has been in a similar situation as myself.

i noticed I had a hard lump in my neck/shoulder (bottom of neck where meets the shoulder) on the left side only. It doesn't move and is very hard, the lump is the size of a 2p coin.  I contacted the doctors and he thought maybe it was a muscle but referred me for an ultrasound, after a very nervous 4 week wait for an appointment I was seen today for my ultrasound scan. They said it looked like a lymph node but didn't look worryingsome but he would look over the images and my doctor will be in contact.

my concern is something like lymphoma. I had a blood test done and everything was fine apart from my bilirubin in my liver which was high.

im so worried and anxious and it's consuming me as it's all I can think about and I'm just worried I'll be misdiagnosed.

  • No I haven't been referred to ENT or haematology. My gp only referred me for an a ultrasound which I had yesterday and they said it was a lymph node, no biopsy done .but awaiting for the report back to my gp.
if it was something worrying, maybe they would do further investigation? I'm not sure how the process goes, but maybe I should push gp for ENT or haematology referral.
