Biopsy results

Hi 

 

I had a biopsy taken from a lump in my breast a week ago and have been waiting for results or a phone call.  Today I received a letter for a phone appointment from the surgery team for four weeks from now but no actual clarification as to what the lump is.

 

has anyone else had this?

Is it just because of the current situation we are in?

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. Waiting times for appointments and results tend to vary depending on which area you're in, the hospital's waiting lists, and so on. Waiting times are unfortunately a little longer than usual at the moment too.

    Four weeks does seem like a fairly long time to wait so I can understand your concerns. You can always check with the hospital team to see if they have any cancellations or if it can be made sooner. Otherwise, try to keep your mind off things while you wait - keeping busy often helps.

    Hi 

    im in the same boat as you, I had biopsy on the 1st of august in breast clinic on serval lymph nodes, I received an appointment for four weeks time a week ago. Obviously my mind is in overdrive. Just wondering what your results was? Fingers crossed all good.
