Tubular adenoma polyp with low grade dysplasia in bowel

Im not sure I'm being dealt with properly by hosp and would like some advise. i had 2 colonoscopys done in last 6 months first one they removed 4 sessile polyps 6mm sent to lab came bk benign and 1 pedunculated polyp 15mm in proximal sigmoid it was removed but not retrieved. Was graded pit type IV

on my second colonoscopy they was only expecting to remove 3/4 that was left behind from previous colonoscopy.

they found 9 more sessile polyps 5 of them was in the proximal sigmoid 5mm. Where the big one was that they couldn't test.

im not sure what one came back low grade dysplasia.

but doc from gastroenterology wrote to me with pathology results and saying according to guidelines no further follow up is required how is this possible ???

  • Hello Lors88,

Perhaps you could give your GP a call and see whether they can explain to you why no further follow up is required? It sounds like you need someone who is an expert in this area to explain to you in more detail why you no longer need to be seen and what these pathology results mean.

If you wish to talk things through with one of our nurses, you are welcome to give them a call on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

I hope you get some answers on this soon!

    Best wishes,
