Anxiety sufferer looking for an answer

I had a biopsy on my left breast yesterday (seems like an era has passed since initially finding it) and I looked at the piece of paper to be handed to reception to make a follow up appointment.

My question is, is it normal for the follow up appointment to be requested that it's with a surgeon rather than the regular clinician I saw with the first appointment?

  • Hello Barcroft82

I hope you're not feeling too uncomfortable after your biopsy on Wednesday. It's perfectly normal for appointments of these kinds to be with a breast surgeon so please don't get too worried about that.

Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long for the appointment and results but if you want to talk to our team of nurses in the meantime you're most welcome to give them a call. they're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

    Best wishes,
