Referred to breast clinic flaky itchy nipples

So ive been referred to a breast clinic due ro going to gp about one breast that has an itchy nipple and have flaking skin on my nipple and areola, to say im freakimg out os an understatement, im only 29 and have 2 young children and cant help but think of the very worst i just want to be seen now google is giving me every worse possibly senario, i dont think my gp felt a lump (she didnt say anyway) but the flaky itchy nipples seem to be more sinister, anyone had anything similar?

    I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with some concerns about your breasts at the moment. You did exactly the right thing in contacting your GP but it's understandable that you're feeling worried about what may be the cause. 

    Please do give Google a wide berth. You won't find any certain answers but it will leave you feeling even more anxious. It might help to keep in mind that the majority of people seen at breast clinic are not diagnosed with cancer.
