Need a tonsillectomy. Really worried about it & the results

I've just got back from hospital were i had been sent for a swollen tonsil I had been fast tracked by my gp so was worried, the doctor said I need a biopsy or maybe a tonsillectomy and from why at I've read it sounds really painful now I'm scared of that as well as the results

    Hi can you explain what your symptoms are I currently have one tonsil larger than other and also experiencing pain in neck and shoulder my doctor will not see me

    I have one swollen tonsil and some pain in ear and jaw when it was still there after a month I phoned  gp and got an appointment, i was fast tracked to ent at hospital now waiting for biopsy and scans, how long have you had symptoms

    Hi love it's been a couple of weeks I work in a care home and asked a matron to check my neck she said my lymph nodes were raised and to get blood I have had bloods not hear anythink rang suregery they said would her if there was a concern prescribed me lansoprazole over the phone as they think it's reflux my pain in mostly in my neck and shoulder my r tonsil is really enlarged and feel like I struggle to swallow and things get stuff

    Has the lanzoprazole made any difference, the doctors should be able to say if there's anything amiss with your blood test maybe ask for a phone consultation at doctors with a request for a referral to hospital for more tests as your worried
