Possible to have normal ultrasound but have lymphoma?

Thank you for reading and please give me some advice if you can. Ive been having night sweats for a year, severe itching in my groin on the right hand side, fatigue and aching in my groin on the right. I've also been experiencing lower back pain. Blood tests are normal, had a chest x Ray which is normal, just got results of ultrasound on abdomen, liver and kidneys and they're normal. During my ultrasound they did an internal pelvic ultrasound which they said was normal also. Since my itching is in my right ground area I've been worried about the lymph nodes in that area. Would my groin lymph nodes have shown through these ultrasounds?

Im just not sure if they were checking for signs of lymphoma or not and am wondering what I should do next, what should I ask for if I want to rule out lymphoma? Or have they already done this. Thank you.

  • It's great to see that all the tests you've had so far have brought good results although it must be a tad frustrating not knowing what is causing yout symptoms.

Only your doctor or medical team can really say what can be seen on the ultrasound so do be sure to talk things through with them when you see them next. They'll also be able to let you know what your options are next but if you'd like to have a quick chat with one of our nurses about this then do give them a call on 0808 800 4040. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

I hope you're able to get some answers and peace of mind over this soon Rachenda.
